Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEVE SAMAGALSKI January 1, 1927 - August 27, 2005 Peacefully on August 27, 2005, Steve passed away with his family at his side. Left to mourn are his wife of 50 years, Doreen (nee Gibson), sons, Mark (Allison), Perry (Michelle); daughter Cleo (Craig) Morris; and grandchildren, Kali, Sydney and Blake. Steve was born in Walkleyburg, MB. He spent his early years fishing on Lake Winnipeg and later farmed and hunted in the Libau area. He proudly drove a school bus for the Lord Selkirk School Division for over 20 years until his retirement in 1993. In 1995, Steve and Doreen moved to Winnipeg. Steve's favourite pastime was playing Bingo and he loved being Gigi to his grandchildren. He continued to garden on his patio, growing delicious tomatoes and he always had peanuts on hand to feed the squirrels. Family would like to thank the home care team, especially Kissinger. A big thank you also to Dr. Lage and the staff at Concordia Hospital, Ward 3 North, for their care and support during Steve's final days. In honour of Dad's wishes immediate cremation has taken place, with no service to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3G 1S6. Steve will be sadly missed by friends and family.
