Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA BRAMWELL ARMSTRONG (nee BOURNE) December 12, 1909 - August 28, 2005 Eva Bramwell Armstrong (nee Bourne) passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2005, at Golden Links Lodge, Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her husband Richard J. W.; her parents Robert and Jane Bourne; sister Jessie; and brother Douglas; as well as nephew Larry. Left to remember her is her daughter Penny Cansdale (Bob); son David (Penny); and grandchildren, Christopher, David and Jennifer; sister-in-law Lois Armstrong; nieces, Beth (Fred) St. Jean and family and Marlene Hall; nephews, Tim Armstrong, Art Rendall and Wayne Bourne. Raised in Brandon, she later continued her education at Success Business College and then began a career with Employers Liability which lasted until she met and married Richard J. W. Armstrong of Cobalt, ON. They had a home in Streetsville, ON, and finally Manotick, ON, where she lived an active life donating much of her time to her family and as a volunteer contributing many hours to the gradual development of the Manotick Public Library. She enjoyed many happy bridge games with her friends. Eva was involved with activities in the Manotick United Church and the Horticultural Society, but she was mainly a stay at home mum which her family looks back on with gratitude. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Golden Links Lodge and in particular a special thank you to all those in the Special Needs Unit for the compassionate care given to Eva over her five years there.
