ALEX RUNDLE Peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2005, Alex Rundle, of Riverton, MB, passed away at the age of 87 years. Alex was born in Fisher River on February 2, 1918. He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Rundle, his step mother Gudlaug Renaud; six sisters and three brothers. He leaves to mourn his passing his family, Barbara Halyk, Violet (Marus) Thomsen, and his many devoted nieces and nephews who were proud to call him uncle. He also leaves to mourn his extended family at Dogtooth Resort where he worked as a guide for many years. With his easy going nature he formed many lifelong friendships. Dogtooth has always held a very special place in his heart. He was an accomplished piano and accordion player and in his younger days he often entertained with Johnny and his Musical Mates. Alex loved bingo and could often be found chuckling and teasing his partners during a game of cards. His last years were spent residing at the Icelandic River Lodge where he was very content in his little place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverton-Hnausa Lutheran Church. A special thanks to the homecare workers who uncle fondly referred to as the girls. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverton-Hnausa Lutheran Church with Pastor Trudy Thorarinson officiating.
