HARVEY C. ROBINSON 1936 - 2005 It is with great sadness we announce the tragic passing of our dear father, loving husband and papa, Harvey Colson Robinson. Harvey was born in Loon Lake, SK and as a young man left home travelling throughout Canada before settling in Manitoba where he met and married Eva Unger. Together they raised four children, Fay (Mike) Kraynyk, Grant (Sherry) Robinson, Beverley (Fr. Matthew) Oliver and Audra Ludwig (Brian Ellis); and grandchildren, Leah, Kayla, Joshua and McKenzie. Harvey and family moved to a homestead property in East Selkirk. He enjoyed many years with Eva before her passing in June of 1997. Harvey met a wonderful friend in Joan Sasley who went on to become his wife in October of 1998. This joining of the two families added children, Jeannie Sasley (Randy McRorie) and Jamie Sasley (Sharon) and Peter Sasley (Janine); grandchildren, Cuyler, Craig, Myles and Shelby, Bradyn, Jade, Beaudry and Abbigail; and four foster grandchildren, Flora, Precilla, Tomika and Natasha. Harvey and Joan celebrated seven wonderful years of marriage with a strong faith in the Lord. Harvey was a well known man in the community, demonstrating his talents and love for mechanics and welding with his business Manitoba Mobile . Harvey continued his love of the outdoors through his farming, hunting, fishing and his mind was always working on new inventions. His generosity went out to all those in need. Harvey was predeceased by parents, Edith and Cyril Robinson; and first wife Eva. He leaves to mourn in addition to Joan and immediate family, sisters, Betty Forsberg and Nancy (Fred) Bertschy; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by friends and neighbours. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1 at 1:00 p.m. in Springs Church, 479 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB with Pastor Jacquie Fontaine officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Peters Churchyard, East Selkirk. Rock Fontaine Funeral Director in care of arrangements (204) 223-2576 or (866) 499-2601.
