PAUL SHABAGA July 14, 1924 - August 26, 2005 Peacefully on August 26, 2005 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, Paul Shabaga passed away at the age of 81 years. Paul is survived by his children, Paulette (Maurice) Deforel, Glenn (Ruth) Shabaga, Vernon Shabaga, Roxanne Poole, Blair Shabaga, Mark (Anne) Shabaga, Adrian (Marilyn) Shabaga and Grant (Tammy) Shabaga; his grandchildren, Lynette (Adam) Olson, Gregory (Tamera) Shabaga, Ainslie Sauerbrei, Jaisen Shabaga; brother, Billy (Margaret) Shabaga; sister, Nellie (Leonard) Carlow; sisters-in-law, Helen Syrotiuk, Pat (Harvey) Bergner, Olga Shabaga, Frances Shabaga and Dorothy Shabaga; as well as numerous nieces, and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents, John and Anne Shabaga; brothers, Mike (Teenie), Peter, Walter (Bill), Alex, Steve, Jerry and Nestor; sisters, Dorothy, Mary (Ralph) and Eileen. Paul was born in St. Martin, MB and resided there his entire life. Paul enjoyed many years commercial fishing and farming. After his retirement, Paul enjoyed going to the Fairford River and spending time outdoors. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all those people who shared their time and company with dad. Also to the doctors and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital In Ashern and the E.M. Crowe Hospital in Eriksdale. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the St. Martin Hall at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Martin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul's memory to The Lakeshore Hospital Guild, in care of Julie Bergner, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0.
