LISA SUMNER February 7, 1974 - August 29, 2005 BABY JUDY ROSE SUMNER-TRAVERS August 29, 2005 With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Lisa Sumner and her baby, Judy Rose Sumner-Travers on August 29, 2005 at the Percy E. Moore Hospital in Hodgson, MB. Lisa and baby Judy leave to cherish their memory, their loving companion and father, Darryl Travers and their family, Jessica, Devin, Kelsey, Chlista, Ryan and Alexander; Lisa's parents and Judy's grandparents, Edward and Dora Sumner; Lisa's brothers and Judy's uncles, Dale and Michael; Lisa's grandmother and Judy's great-grandmother, Joyce (Frank) Grouch; Lisa's in-laws and baby Judy's grandparents, Pat (Nelson) Urrutia and Raymond Travers; their special aunt and uncle, Jonathan and Vera Flett and their daughters, Bella and Rena; Lisa's brothers-in-law and baby Judy's uncles, Alan, Nicolas and Nelson Jr.; baby Judy's great-grandfather, Myles Travers; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lisa and baby Judy were predeceased by Lisa's grandparents and Judy's great-grandparents, Tom and Elsie Letandre, John and Jessie Harper and Chlista Travers; uncle, Dennis Sumner; cousin, Joyce Sumner; as well as numerous other relatives. Lisa was born on February 7, 1974. She was a quiet person who loved her family and children. Lisa spent her time taking care of her babies. Her and Darryl were anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new baby girl. It was always very important to them that their children be raised together. We know Lisa will continue to watch over Darryl and their family from above, until everyone meets again in Heaven. Baby Judy Rose was named after her great-grandmother and her great-aunt. We thank God for lending Lisa and her baby to us for a while. Even though we never got a chance to know baby Judy, we still love her and will remember her and Lisa as they enter the Kingdom of Heaven together. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at the Percy E. Moore Hospital in Hodgson. Also to all the relatives and friends that came to the hospital to show their support, and to the Chief and Council of Jackhead First Nation. Wake services will be held on Friday, September 2 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Bread Of Life Ministries, 1338 Main St., Winnipeg, MB. Wake services will also be held on Saturday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 4 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Lake St. Martin Pentecostal Church with Pastor Alex Marsden officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake St. Martin Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to ANDERSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME Ashern, MB 1-866-293-4951

  • Lisa...I wished I had taken the time to know you and your family....how we've changed over the years...since we grew up together....how we take time for granted.... Sorry I couldn't attend your funeral, but I didn't want my last memory of you lying in a box with your baby...the last time I saw you was at a store pushing your youngest one in a shopping cart and your eldest daughter hiding behind you as usual...she was so shy....even though we had a short visit, I'll always remember your smiling face... - Posted by: Laverne Sumner (Family) on: Sep 30, 2005
