Remaining to cherish her memory is her daughter Rose; grandchildren, Marion, Joanne (Paul), Mark (Nathalie), Caron (Craig), Susan (Brent), Laura (Dale) and Barbara (Jacques). She is also survived by her beloved great-grandchildren, Carmen, Mark, Michelle, Andre, Hana, Lisa, Christina, Ashley, Holly, Nicholas, Leah, Jack, Luke, Katrine and Annika. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Adolf and Andrew and son-in-law Bill. Emily was born on December 23, 1899 in Mirohos, Russia. In 1927, Emily moved to Winnipeg. Two years later, Emily met Adolf Bresnev and they were married. In 1930, Emily gave birth to her first and only child, Rose (Chyzzy). In 1931, Adolf died. In 1941, Emily married Andrew Luptak and they were married for 23 years. Emily lived independently in her home until the age of 102. Her favourite pastimes were cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting. You could always count on Emily to share her delicious baking whenever you came to visit. You would never leave her home hungry. Emily was a devout Catholic who belonged to St. Ignatius Parish for over 50 years. Her faith was very important to her and gave her strength over her 105 years. She appreciated the visits from the priests and Eucharistic ministers. The family would like to thank those who helped share her faith. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet Emily were amazed at her strength and knowledge. Emily kept herself on top of all current events. She loved to share stories of the past and was known for giving good advice to the family. Most importantly, Emily will fondly be remembered as a very special mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love and devotion for us was immeasurable. Her eyes always lit up when her great-grandchildren walked into the room. She had a unique touch of rocking the babies to sleep and singing the lullaby hopy hopy hopy . The great-grandchildren will always remember the treats she kept in her drawer especially for them. Her love for all of us will forever remain in our hearts. The family extends their appreciation to the staff at Riverview Health Centre and Concordia Hospital for their special care. Prayers will be held on Friday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 249 Arnold Ave. with Fr.
