INJIBORG ELIZABETH ALDA HAWES June 9, 1926 - August 31, 2005 On August 31, 2005 at Red River Place, Alda Hawes, aged 79 years of Selkirk, MB. Mom was predeceased by her husband George (Spike); parents, Margaret and Kristinn; brothers, Oscar, Mindy, Kris and Tubby. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Cathy), Christine (Roland), Cathy (Claude), George (Donna), Curt and Elin as well as 15 grand-children and 10 great-grandchildren. Mom's greatest love was for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. A private family burial of ashes will take place prior to the service in the Selkirk Lutheran cemetery. A special thanks to Dr. Lindenschmidt and the staff at the Red River Place who were like a second family to her. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Selkirk General Hospital Palliative Care unit. Now she's dancing in heaven. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
