MARIA EPP (nee SCHMIDT) 1917 - 2005 It is with deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Maria Epp on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the age of 88. Maria was born in Russia on April 2, 1917. This was also the place where she met her loving husband Nicolaus. The couple then moved to Canada in 1947 to embark on a new life together. Leaving to mourn two beautiful children, Annie and Henry, and one brother Abe Schmidt, wife Crystal and families. Maria enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren from daughter Annie. Keith, Lisa with husband Quentin Wildeman and great-grandson Zachary, and Betty with husband Patrick Smith and great-grandsons, Kelsey and Cole. Maria was predeceased by her loving husband Nicolaus in 1995 and her daughter Hilda in 1985. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 6 at 1:30 p.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Church, Cheriton and Roch. Viewing at the church prior to the service. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Cancer Society. Flowers graciously declined.
