REDENTORE ANANIA With his family by his side at the age of 79, on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, our beloved uncle passed away. He was predeceased by his parents, Francesco and Concetta Anania; brother Vincenzo; sister Liberata and brother-in-law Pietro DeConto, and nephew Francesco. Redentore will be sadly missed by his sister Vittoria; niece Rosetta Buoncore and husband Santo; niece Josephina Esteves and husband Julio; niece Lenora Ardita and husband Joe; and great-nieces and nephews, Giuseppe (Kim), Enzo (Shannon), Angela, Michayla, Peter, Rosario, Sonia and great-great-nephew Matteo. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Italy, as well as many friends. A special thank you to his closest friend Frank Maida for always being by side. Redentore was born April 28, 1926 in Isca Ionio, Catanzaro, Italy. Our uncle immigrated to Canada in 1953 and worked hard in order to bring his family to Canada. He was a caring and loving person who always put his family first. Many thanks to the staff at Lions Personal Care Centre for the many years of care. Also a special thanks to Dr. Fatoye and the nurses of the Geriatric Ward at Seven Oaks Hospital. We will truly miss you Zio! May God care for you as you did for us. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. with Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Entombment will take place at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Redentore's memory may be made to the Schizophrenia Society, 3-1000 Notre Dame, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0N4.
