GEORGE CURTIS 1926 - 2005 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of George Curtis on Thursday, September 1, 2005 in his residence at the age of 78 years. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Louise (George), Evelyn (Ron), and son Raymond and their mother Therese; his grandchildren, Lee, Billie, Shawn, Cindy, Dixie, Michael and Tammy and seven great-grandchildren, Cody, Cory, Colin, Jennifer, Ashley, Adam and Brandon; sister Stella Jones and numerous friends. George was predeceased by his sister Alma and brother Maurice. George owned and operated Cash Auto Wrecking and Towing in Fort Garry. His friends affectionately knew him as Cash . When he decided to retire at the age of 52 he sold his business but car repairs was in his blood. When he wasn't tinkering in his garage on cars, he would be out with a friend or two for breakfast or enjoying a friendly game of cribbage. George had a love for animals especially cats. His buddy Acey will be lost without him. A funeral service celebrating George's life will be held Monday, September 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to either D'Arcy's ARC, 1793 Portage Ave. or to the Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Ave. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J.
