RICHARD DOUGLAS BACHINSKI After a courageous battle, with his loving daughter by his side, Richard Bachinski passed away in Fernie, BC at the age of 56 years. Richard is survived by his son Matthew and daughter Lauren, both of Winnipeg; Aunt Rose, also of Winnipeg; brother Charlie (Evangeline) of British Columbia; close friends, Don (Arlene) of Fernie and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Ken. Richard was born and raised in Winnipeg till the summer of 2000 when he decided to make beautiful Fernie his home. With this move, he was able to do the two things he loved to do most...ski in the winter and golf in the summer. He was a loving and devoted father who enjoyed sharing his wisdom and his life experiences. Thank you to Dr. Clarke and Dr. Michaels and the nursing staff at the Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie for their excellent care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 7 at Klassen Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. If friends wish to donate in memory of Richard, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
