SYDNEY LECKER Sydney Lecker passed away on Sunday August 28, 2005 after a lengthy illness. He was a retired teacher of exceptional children, devoted to his profession and students. through his efforts many learned to communicate, read and write, giving new meaning to their lives. He was interested in sports cars, and was one of the founders of the Winnipeg Corvette Club. His other interests lay in the field of the arts, music, ballet, and theatre. Syd is survived by his brother Manuel of Winnipeg, and Garson of Sydney, Nova Scotia, and predeceased by sisters Tamara and Cynthia. He will be missed by his may nieces, nephews and friends. Interment was in The Sharey Zedek cemetery on Tuesday August 30. Donations in Syd's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
