JANINA OBROSLINSKI With great love and wonderful memories, the family of Janina Obroslinski (nee Wolska) announces her peaceful passing on August 31, 2005, at the age of 80 years, at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Janina was born on June 14, 1925 in Krakow, Poland. She met her husband, Mieczyslaw Mike Obroslinski, in Germany after the Second World War and they were married shortly after. Mike and Janina immigrated to Canada in 1951 and settled in Winnipeg, MB. Janina will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children, John Obroslinski and Barbra Rudniski; and her granddaughter, Andrea Rudniski; as well as many relatives in Poland. Janina was predeceased by her daughter Basia, and her husband, Mike. Janina was a kind, generous and loving mother and grandmother, whose memory will be cherished by her family and friends. Janina enjoyed taking care of her family and she worked hard for many years as an extremely devoted housewife and caregiver. Janina loved to garden and she was a good cook who loved providing favourites for her family. She also enjoyed hosting dinner parties and entertaining friends. She was a faithful member of St. John Cantius' Church and enjoyed many evenings filled with fun at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 246. Our family wishes to thank the staff of 2-A at Holy Family Nursing Home where Janina resided since January 1, 2002. Our family also wishes to thank Dr. Gorski and the staff of 5-U1 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 6 at 10:30 a.m., with viewing at 10:00 a.m., at St. John Cantius' Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave,, with Rev. Fr. Henryk Uczniak as celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Please join us for a celebration of Janina's life at Cropo Funeral Chapel, following the interment. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Janina's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still; In our hearts you hold a place, No one will ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God took you home. WIECZNY ODPOCZYNEK RACZ JEJ DAC PANIE CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
