LEO DESIRE SOENEN On Thursday, September 1, 2005, Our Father in Heaven called Leo, his good and faithful servant, to his eternal reward. Predeceased by his first wife Patricia Soenen, Leo leaves his family filled with the special, unfailing, and enduring love that he, as husband, father, teacher, brother, and friend, prayed and worked so faithfully to instill. Leo deeply and dearly loved his family and was so loved by his wife Margaret Ann; his children, Michael (Arlene), Sheila (Brian), Richard (Michelle), Daniel (Carol) and Laura (Geordie). Leo's grandchildren, Matthew, Jason, Geoffrey, Gregory, Alexandra, Lea, Kayley, Braeden, Erin, Nicholas, Noah, Danielle, Rachel, Jessica, Duncan, Benjamin, Harrison, Liam and Luke, were a wonderful source of joy, delight, pride and mutual love. Leo also leaves his loving and caring sister, Louise (Keith), his children by marriage Ross (Judy) and their children, Kaelie, Kristian, Lindsey, Delaney, Alan, and Logan and Douglas (Melanie) and their daughter, Lauren. Leo's family and friends mourn his passing and will miss him; yet, each carries and will treasure the joy of special memories of Leo's love, his tenderness, his compassion, and his endearing charm. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc Street. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, with Father Raymond Baudry and Father Lucien Roy officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Manitoba League for Life, 579 Des Meurons Street, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2P6 (tel.
