M. PATRICIA ANDERSON Born September 13, 1917, in Winnipeg, MB, Patricia (nee O'Connor) died peacefully on September 1, 2005, at Marycrest Manor in Culver City, California. The eldest of eight brothers and sisters, she moved to Los Angeles with her late husband William A. Anderson, Jr., in 1939. Five of her siblings later followed. Patricia completed her college education and earned her Master's degree in English Literature at Immaculate Heart College. She started her teaching career at Beverly Hills Catholic School. She then joined the faculty at Santa Monica College where she taught English for many years. Her second career, as a legal secretary, began in 1976 and continued until just a few years prior to her death. Her lifelong pursuit of love and knowledge was an inspiration to all who knew her. Patricia's beloved husband Bill died in 1978. She is survived by her only son William A. Anderson (III) and his wife Ruth of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren, David (and his wife Megumi of Berlin, Germany), Mark, Peter, Catherine and Sarah; her brother J.J.P. O'Connor (San Diego); her sisters, Margaret E. Mace (San Gabriel) and Dona Brekelmans (Winnipeg); and many loving nieces and nephews. Her youngest sister Rosemary Willhide, R.I.P., passed away only five weeks earlier. The Rosary will be prayed for the repose of Patricia's soul at Christ the King Church, 624 N. Rossmore Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90004, at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2005. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Good Shepherd Church, 505 North Bedford Dr., Beverly Hills, CA 90210, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2005, followed by her interment at San Fernando Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Marycrest Manor (10664 St. James Dr., Culver City, CA 90230) or St. Mary's Academy (550 Wellington Cres., Winnipeg, MB, R3M 0C1).
