BARBARA JOAN GRYWINSKI August 20, 1940 - September 2, 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother and Nanny on September 2, 2005 at St. Boniface Hospital. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Harold and Kathleen, husband Steven, son Christopher, infant son, Aunty Gracy and daughter-in-law Lois Grywinski. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her sons Jaime and Jack, daughter Shannon (Jorge), granddaughters Meaghan and Sarah; sister Sharon McMullin (Jim), niece Jennifer (Ron) with children Emmy and Ronnie; sister Bonnie Cook (Russell); nephews Michael and Matthew, brother Bob Cook (Linda) nieces Amanda, Melinda, Melissa and Miranda and nephew David. Barbara was born in Winnipeg, MB. She worked at the Post Office as a letter sorter for many years and was best friends with her co-worker Jean Picklyk until her demise. She went on to volunteer as a Braille transcriptionist, which led to full time employment until retirement. Barbara grew up enjoying summers at Grand Beach in the cabin her father built. She was a loving wife and took care of her husband, as he was ill for many years. She was a wonderful Mother, Nanny, Aunty and friend to all. She was best known for her green thumb and loved to spend every spare moment in her garden. In her last month she taught her granddaughter Sarah her gardening routine. Many thanks to Dr. C. Polimeni, Dr. M. Krahn and Dr. Garcia and staff at Palliative Care A8 at St. Boniface Hospital. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, should you desire, donations may be made in Barbara's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, CNIB or a charity of your choice. GONE GARDENING, WE LOVE YOU CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
