Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRO BUDZAN Peacefully, on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, Myro Budzan, aged 74 of Winnipeg. Myro was born in Winnipeg, March 22, 1931 to Stefan Budzan and Tekla Halaburda. He attended Norquay School and St. Paul's High School. While at St. Paul's Myro played football for the Crusaders and later for the Winnipeg Rods. Throughout his teen years, he was actively involved in Ukrainian dancing, the choir and MYN at the UNF Hall on Main Street. While still in Winnipeg, he owned and operated Budzan's Service Station. He later moved to Kenora, ON where he opened Budzan's Auto Rad. Kenora became his home and the place he truly loved in his adult life. His island getaway, as rustic as we remember was his home away from home . Due to his illness, Myro returned to Winnipeg and had been a resident of Fred Douglas Lodge since 1995. At Fred Douglas he was dearly loved by the staff and the residents. Until his poor health no longer allowed him to, Myro was a great source of assistance to the staff, both delivering daily newspapers to and assisting the wheelchair-bound residents on day trips and within the nursing home itself. He was always positive and never wanted to burden people with his problems. Myro leaves to mourn his son Chris, daughter-in-law Terry, grandchildren, Brittany and Taylor; his loving sister and caregiver Helen Korban; niece Joanne (Gerry); nephews, Robert (Sheila) and Richard (Donna); great-niece Breanne and great-nephews, Michael, Evan, Jay and Stefan. He was predeceased by his parents, Stefan and Tekla; and his brother-in-law Martin. A private family service has been held. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
