ELIZABETH (BETTY) BACHMAN (nee DOUGLAS) June 15, 1927 - September 3, 2005 It is with great sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of our dearly beloved Mom, Granny, and Great-Nana at the age of 78. Betty was predeceased by her husband Ted in 1990. Betty will be sadly missed by her only daughter Loretta, grandsons, Jason and Justin (Kelly); great-grandson Connor, sister Martha, nieces and nephews in Scotland, and the rest of her family and friends. Born in Fife, Scotland, Betty immigrated to Canada in 1957 with her husband Ted and daughter Loretta. She spent her first 12 years in Beausejour and then the next 20 years in Selkirk making numerous friends along the way. In 1997 she moved to Winnipeg and lovingly took care of her daughter Loretta who has survived ovarian cancer. Betty took great pride in her family and home, her love for crafts and bowling. She was never idle. You would be lucky to meet someone who was as generous and loving as she was. You will always be in our hearts. We love you Mom, Granny, Great-Nana. We miss you. The family would like to express many thanks to the doctors and staff at the Health Sciences Centre, especially Erin at the Cancer Foundation. A private service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's memory to CancerCare Manitoba 675 McDermot Ave., R3E 0V9. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. 982-7550
