ESTELLE CLAIRE PIPER (nee LACROIX) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Estelle Piper on September 2, 2005. After a battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the Grace Hospital. Estelle never gave up hope of recovery from her illness and she never ever complained of her pain caused by the cancer. Estelle leaves to mourn her husband Eric of 54 happy years of marriage; her children, Marshall (Jeannette), Gary (Jody), Dale (Michelle); six grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, Reid, Bryce, Brett, and Colton. She is also survived by sisters, Clarice Nott, Wilma Biggar, Carol Moxley and sister-in-law Claire LaCroix. She was predeceased by father Conrad LaCroix, mother Rose LaCroix and stepfather William St. Germaine; brother Aurelle LaCroix and daughter Karen Rose Piper. The family would like to thank the nurses, Oncologists of CancerCare unit at Health Science Centre, and medical staff and nurses at Grace General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Rev. Ian Peterson officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Estelle's memory to Holy Trinity Church, 5335 Portage Ave., Headingley, MB R0H 0J0 or CancerCare Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. We love you and we will miss you. A Heart of Gold A heart of gold stopped beating, Working hands at rest.
