JIM (JAMES) BARRETT 1933 - 2005 It is with deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our dad, and grandfather on September 4, 2005 at St. Norbert Personal Care Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Dad is survived by Rolanda, along with his children, Kevin (Tracy), Kim of Winnipeg, Terry, Sandy (Henry), and Pam (Palle) of British Columbia; and grandchildren, Jordynn, Jayd, Jeremy, Thomas, Nicolas, Alexa and Hanna; siblings, John, Sheila and family. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and his son Corrie. Jim was born in Winnipeg and lived here most of his life. He later moved to Vancouver and considered it his second home. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping with his family. He was also a very handy and creative man who loved carpentry and woodworking. His grandchildren brought him great joy. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at Thomson In the Park 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Friday, September 9 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer society.
