ALBERT B. COOK February 18, 1926 - September 2, 2005 Albert passed away peacefully on September 2, 2005 at the Gimli Community Hospital at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by his brother Frank (Jim) Cook and sister Dorothy (Dot) Brown. He leaves to mourn his passing, his niece Diana Gale; also his great-nephew Delmar Cook, his wife Angela, their two sons, Richard and Christopher and daughter Felicia; great-niece Samantha Nenka and husband Donald, their daughter Brieanna and son Ethan; Cameron, Kevin, Gail, Stephen, Amanda Gale and their families. He will be sadly missed by his family and close friends. Special thanks to the nurses that took great care of him for the past three months at the Gimli Hospital. The funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Saturday, September 10 at 3:00 p.m. with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Delmar Cook, Donald Nenka, Stephen Gale, Kevin Gale, Henry Harel, Nick Welchinski and Jamie Welchinski. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #9 at 920 Nairn Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Clinic in Winnipeg or the charity of your choice. Although the curtain falls, There comes a time for all of us, When we must say good bye, But memories of those we love, Live on and never die, Although the curtain falls at last, Is that a cause to grieve? The future life is brighter still, If only, we believe. So trust in God's eternal care, And when the Master calls, We'll know a fairer world's beyond, Although the curtain falls.
