ELIZABETH LINCOLN (BETTY) BOUCHER Elizabeth Lincoln Betty Boucher passed away in Brandon, at the Assiniboine Centre, on Friday, September 2, 2005 after a very brief illness. Betty was born in Winnipeg, MB on October 31, 1925, the daughter of Howard and Eva Bell. She obtained her education in Winnipeg and worked in Winnipeg for several years for Lake of the Woods Milling Co. and Founders Acceptance. She met and married Jim Boucher in 1961, moving to Brandon in 1967. Shortly after the move, she started a long career in real estate sales. Betty worked for a number of real estate agencies in Brandon over the years, and ran her own business, Betty Boucher Realty, for several years as well. She enjoyed her friends immensely and belonged to a number of clubs including the R.C.A.F. Ladies Auxiliary 502 Wing, the Brandon Club, the Brandon Light Horse and Pony Society, the Royal Canadian Legion and, during her earlier years in Winnipeg, Betty enjoyed her association with the Glenmore Riding Club. Betty loved to play shuffleboard, cribbage and bingo. She also loved to travel, having enjoyed several trips to Florida and the Caribbean. Betty will be remembered for her sense of humour and love of fun. Betty is survived by her daughter Karen (Darryl) Hartigh of Red Deer, AB; as well as her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lorne and Margaret Boucher of Erickson, MB. She was predeceased by her loving husband James Martin Jim Boucher in 1990; her parents, Howard and Eva Bell in 1977 and 1959 respectively; and her sister Willa Kenward in 1998. Funeral service was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Thursday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harvey Hurren officiating. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery.
