WAYNE (BUD) JAMES FIDLER On Sunday, September 4, 2005 at approximately 8:10 p.m. we had to say goodbye to our brother and friend, Bud. He was born on April 23, 1949 in Selkirk. Bud was predeceased by his mother Alice in 2001, father James in 2002 and younger brother, Trevor in 2002. He leaves surviving his sisters, Lynn (Jim) Munn of Summerland, BC, Elaine (John) Heinze of Kamloops, BC, and Donna (Dave) Ross of Winnipeg; niece Devon (D'Arcy) Cooper of Prince George, BC; nephews, Christopher (Dian) Heinze of Pritchard, BC, Matthew Fidler of Summerland, BC, Graham Fidler of Summerland, BC; three great-nephews and a great-niece. Also left to mourn Bud are his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bud enjoyed fishing and hunting although these last few years he loved going for drives just to look at the deer. He looked forward to his daily walks with his little dog Comet who was great company for him. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Health Sciences Centre Dialysis unit for the 30 plus years of caring; the Selkirk and District General Hospital Dialysis unit for Bud's care these last few months; Ron Kupchik for his friendship, caring and unfailing support these last two weeks; aunt Dorothy Fidler, Christine Lefteruk, aunt Betty Fidler, Karen Sinclair, and Deb Paskaruk for their vigil with us. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with the Venerable Godfrey Mawejje officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
