ELLENOR MARIE COBB (nee TROUTEN) February 21, 1926 - September 5, 2005 It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ellenor Cobb on Monday, September 5, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital. Ellenor was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Catherine; and her grandson Michael Cobb. Ellenor will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Walter; her sons, James, Don (Kathy); daughters, Barbara, Louise (Brent); her eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brother Tom (Ethel); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Ellenor was born in Scotland, she came to Canada as a War Bride in 1945. Together Ellenor and Walter made their home in the north end of Winnipeg, where they raised their four children. A few of Ellenor's favourite past times were bowling, playing bingo and The Sewing Club . The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Victoria General Hospital, 4th Floor and Emergency, especially Dr. Young for her care and compassion given to Ellenor during her hospital stay. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
