Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE (ANNE) HANSEN (nee KEMP) Peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 with her daughters at her side, at Middlechurch Home. Anne was born in Norfolk, England on August 16, 1914, one of eight children of Jives and Laura Kemp; brothers, Bob, Sidney, George, Len; sisters, Enid, Winnifred and Olive. Anne married Canadian soldier, Ejnar Niels Hansen on May 25, 1943 in England. She came to Canada in June 1945 with baby daughter Janet to meet and stay with her new Canadian family in Spearhill, MB. In 1948 they moved to Winnipeg in time for second daughter Lynda and daughter Irene arrived in 1953. In 1954 they moved to St. Vital where they lived for many years. Anne belonged to St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church and was active in WA/ACW. Anne and Ejnar retired to Ashern in 1974. Anne was predeceased by her husband Ejnar in February 1989 but stayed in Ashern until 1995. The following years were spent in Birds Hill, Selkirk, Lac du Bonnet and finally Middlechurch. Anne is mourned by daughters, Janet Bessem (Nick), Lac du Bonnet, Lynda Hansen (Peter McRae), Summerland, BC, Irene Redfern (Gerry), Lockport. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Kirsten Bessem (friend Travis), Sytske Savoy (Scott), Erika Robert (Jeff), Kyle Redfern (Susy), Alfred Redfern, Neil McRae, Kelly McRae; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jared Carswell, Deric and Alex Savoy, Jessica and Brayden Robert, Adam Redfern. Anne is also survived by sisters, Enid, Olive; brother Len; and her nieces and nephews in England; as well as her beloved sisters-in-law, and her nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Andrews on the Red Anglican Church with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Middlechurch Personal Care Home for their loving care.
