Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMADELINE HOUDE (VERMEULEN) November 10, 1922 October 22, 2006 Passed away peacefully on October 22, 2006 at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre, at the age of 83. Madeline was predeceased by her husband Emery, her parents Emerance and Gustaf Vermeulen, her sister Mary Goethals, brothers Charlie, Jules, Remi and Robert Vermeulen. She leaves her sisters Elsie (Albert) Jacobs, Irene (Ed) Bonne, Alice (Bob) Bonne and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to forever cherish her memory. Madeline was born on November 10, 1922 in Winnipeg. She worked hard on her parent's farm growing up and after marrying husband Emery, she worked in the Laundry Service for many years. Madeline was a fun loving, kind hearted person. She had no children of her own but truly cherished and enjoyed many fun times with her nieces and nephews. They all called her Auntie Myah . They were her pride and joy. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with Rev. Dr. Patrick A. Morand, the Celebrant. Pallbearers are Calvin Vermeulen, Don Bonne, David Jacobs, Jim Bonne, Eddie Bonne and Brian Bonne. The family wishes to express many thanks to her niece Carol Bonne for all her loving care and many hours of comfort given freely to Madeline. Thanks also to the staff at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre for the excellent care and compassion they provided Madeline. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Madeline's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
