CECILIA SAYER (nee GRAY) It is with great sadness the family of Cecilia Sayer announces her passing on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, at the age of 89 years. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved daughter Gerry (Michael) Kitt. She was a loving grandmother to Colleen (Gary) and Lisa (Michael); and great-grandmother to Derek, Abby, Ragnar and Svana. She is also survived by her brother Dan and sister Mary and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Val, five brothers and one sister. Cecilia was born in Burnbank, Scotland, and came to Canada as a war bride in 1947. She was a homemaker until she took a job at Eaton's where she worked for 20 years. Cecilia loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading and old-time movies. Our family wishes to sincerely thank the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg staff for their excellent care, gentleness and understanding during her stay. She made many new friends there and it truly was home to her. A private family service was held on Thursday, December 23, 2010. Interment to follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery in the spring of 2011.
