MARIA ASHLEY

MARIA ASHLEY (nee BORDA) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, wife and grandmother Maria at Grace Hospital on Monday, January 30, 2012. Maria is survived by her husband Leroy Ashley; daughters Esther (Doug) Whynot, Agnes (Al) Ashley-Kircher; granddaughter Mariel; and many other family members including Tanis, Jason, Justin Malec and Andre. Maria was born in Szentgotthard, Hungary on April 4, 1931 and she immigrated to Canada in 1956. She devoted her life to her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, travelling and dining at the Royal Fork's and looked forward to gatherings with her family. Thank you to the staff at Grace Hospital, 3 North for their care during Maria's last days. A private family service has taken place.
