JAMES GILCHRIST

JAMES D. GILCHRIST James D. Gilchrist died May 27, 2012 in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. He attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate in Winnipeg and earned his Bachelor and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba. He received his PhD at the University of Minnesota and started his career at Honeywell in Minneapolis. He moved to California in 1968 to begin work with The Aerospace Corporation. He retired as Vice President, Technology Operations, Engineering and Technology Group. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Doris, his sons Jeff (Sonja), David, daughter Sharon, and three granddaughters. He is also survived by two sisters in Winnipeg, Pat (George) Robb, and Helen (Jim) Searle.
