GLADYS OLIVER

GLADYS HUDSON OLIVER May 28, 1913- June 9, 2012 Peacefully our beloved Mom passed away at the age of 99 in West Park Manor. Mom was born in Winnipeg to Frank and Mary Paisley. She resided in Fort Rouge until her marriage to Robert Oliver in 1940. Mom and Dad had a very happy life until he passed away in 2002. They had been residents of Fort Garry and members of Fort Garry United Church for 40 years. Many good times were spent at their Jessica Lake cottage with family and friends. Mom had a good sense of humour, quiet dignity and determination. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and entertaining. Surviving are daughter Valerie, sons Dennis (Darlene), Harvey (Penny), Lindsay (Laura); grandchildren Chris, Rob, Angie (Randy), Kristy, Amanda and Kelly; great-granddaughter Avery Olivia, great-grandsons Brady, Christian and Jesse, also sister Phyllis and her daughter Janice and family. A special thanks to her devoted companion Elizabeth and staff at West Park Manor for their wonderful care. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Society.
