DOROTHY CUMMINGS Dorothy Cummings (nee) Main passed away peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2012, surrounded by her family, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. She is survived by her family: son Wayne; daughter Beverly Condon (Bill); son Gordon (Cathy); daughter Cathy (Barry); and daughter Heather. Dorothy has seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. Born June 27, 1926 she was raised in Virden, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Douglas Lorne Cummings in 1977 and by her parents, William Henry Main in 1946 and her mother Maybelle Main (nee Clark) in 1967. She had eight siblings, six of whom have predeceased her. Dorothy moved to Winnipeg at a young age and married in 1948. She was a longtime resident of Minnegaffe St. in the north-end of Winnipeg where she raised her family. Her family was the joy of her life and she loved family gatherings so she could spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Seven Oaks hospital for the care provided to our mother. Cremation has taken place and a private service and ash interment will be held at a later date. 586-8044
