HELENA LEHNER

HELENA LEHNER Peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on June 16, 2012, our beloved mother and grandmother, Helena Lehner (nee Voros) passed away at the age of 73. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Tracy and Sandra (Robin), grandchildren, Carl, Victoria, and Julianne, and many relatives and friends in Slovenia. She was predeceased by her parents, Stefan and Verona, her husband Karl, brother, two sisters, and most recently by her daughter, Donna. Helena was born in Beltinci, Slovenia on April 20, 1939. She travelled to Canada and met up with Karl. They were married on May 30, 1970 in Winnipeg. While Karl went to work as a miner, Helena stayed at home, working various jobs and then raised her three daughters. Her last position was as a Companion at the Sharon Home. During her retirement, she took pride in her garden and with her grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 95 MacDonald Ave. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff on GD4 and GD5 of the Health Sciences Centre for the care they provided. 586-8044
