ROSE STESKI

ROSE STESKI 1922 - 2012 On June 16, 2012, Rose passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital with her sister and life-long companion Minnie at her side. Rose was born at Bradwardine, Manitoba in 1922 to John and Lena Steski who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her five brothers: Rudy, Frank, Vic, Louis and Jerry, as well as her sister Helen. Rose is survived by her sister Minnie, her sisters-in-law Grace, Carrie and Elaine. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephew whom she took a great pleasure and interest in. Rose was an avid golfer and enjoyed many lovely courses in and around Winnipeg. Rose had a passion for travel and enjoyed exploring the many countries around the world that she travelled to. Rose's gentle smile and inquisitive mind will be greatly missed by all her family and her many old and new friends. A funeral service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery located on Hwy. No 1 East at Navin Road at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012.   • I have heard Rose's name mentioned so many times and enjoyed hearing about Jerry's family, many of whom I had met at important family occasions over the years. Elaine, you have been such a steadfast and constant presence in the family and I know you will miss Rose not being in the family circle. I know also that the funeral service would have been a great tribute to Rose's long and eventful life and truly a celebration of a life well lived. Sincerely, Shirley
