MICHAEL JERRY STELMASCHUK Tragically on June 25, 2012 Michael Jerry Stelmaschuk aka Stella, passed away as a result of a vehicle accident. Mike will be sadly missed by his wife Lori (Beger) and their two cats Snowball and Whiskers along with his life- long best friends Glenn and Janet Onsowich, Bryanna and Jake, beloved son of Elaine and the late Mike Stelmaschuk, his dear brother Ron and Sharon Stelmaschuk, Scott, Katie and Blake, sister Debbie and Perry Ehret and Jessica. His brothers-in-law Bryan Beger, Glen and Debbie Beger, Melissa, Darryl, Kurtis and Emily, Sister-in-law Cheryl Riopka and Joshua. He was predeceased by his in-laws Herb and Elsie Beger, and sister-in-law Maureen Beger. Born November 21, 1962, Mike was raised on a farm in Cooks Creek, Manitoba until he married the one and only love of his life Lori on May 11, 1996 where they resided in Selkirk, Manitoba until his passing. Mike was the kindest and most considerate person you could ever meet. Always there to lend a hand whenever someone needed it but never wanted anything in return. Mike loved to drive which is where he spent most of his working years. He was employed by ABM Concrete until his passing, where he really enjoyed working with Linton and Dennis as well as the other truck drivers that he worked with on a daily basis. He also spent a few years long haul truck driving where Mike travelled all over the states, making sure his load was always delivered on time. When he wasn't driving his cement truck, you could either find him with Glenn driving their snowmobiles or having their male bonding time in his shop fixing them. There wasn't anything Mike and Glenn could not fix together. They were never afraid to tackle any project big or small. Between the two of them they always seemed to find a solution to any problem. Mike enjoyed most of his life on the family farm in Cooks Creek where he took care of the family farm for many years. How he loved his shop. You were always greeted with a smile and always welcome to sit and reminisce about the good times. The door to his shop was always open whether you needed somewhere to fix a snowmobile or a vehicle, and Mikey was there to lend a helping hand. Mike's dream was to move back to the family farm one day, the place he always considered home. Stella will be extremely missed by all who knew him, especially his camping family, where he enjoyed countless hours of laughter around the fire with the Onsowich's, Zygarlicki's, Dudych's, Hyde's and Wasney family. We have the best memories to keep Stella deep in our hearts. All the kids loved their Uncle Stella , they could not wait until he came to offer his words of wisdom to each and every one of them. He loved golfing with all the guys while camping, making sure everyone knew who had the best score. Rest in peace our dear friend. You have given us all many years of wonderful memories. You will be sadly missed by all of us. No snowmobile trip or camping trip will ever be the same. You always brought so much laughter into our circle and your memory will live on with each and every one of us who knew you and appreciated you. A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Brokenhead River Community Hall, 320 Verteran's Lane in Beausejour, Manitoba. Interment will take place at the Beausejour Town Cemetery. Seasons Funeral Chapel ~ Oakbank, MB
