• Sorry to hear about Auntie Vicky - she was so important to my grandparents, to my Mom (Eunice) and her sisters, and to all of us grandchildren. Wish we could have been there to express our condolences in person. My mom said it was one of the most beautiful funerals she has ever been to. I asked her why and she said "Because of Vicky's beautiful soul and a lovely talented family to celebrate her life and her going Home to be with the Lord." Some of my happiest memories of Ashfield and Gonor are from the times we would go back to visit and I would feel so safe and loved in her big hug. Coffee at her house with Granny and Grandpa Harris was always the best - with treats and caring and seeing my grandparents enjoying themselves with a good friend. • She was always known as Aunty Vicky to me but she was actually my Mom's Aunt. I can remember as a little boy going from Toronto to Lockport to visit and she always made me feel welcome and loved. Her smile would light up a room and she and her great family were always so much fun to be around. I saw her this past May when she was ill and she still had that amazing glow that made her so special to be around. My sincere condolences to her many family members. She will be missed.

• So appreciative of Mrs Puteran's hospitality to me and the young people who she welcomed to her place every fall. I, too, remember her beaming smile--always there--no matter what her trials.....Knowing her meant that I also knew all the members of her family and have affectionate memories of each one of them too.....I'm very sorry for your loss. • Although we only knew Vicki a short time she was one of the kindest souls ever met. Such a hard working lady that was always wanting to share with others. Our condolences go out to the whole family.

• Aunty Vicky has a SMILE THAT WOULD brighten anyone’s day. We will miss you so! Comforting to know that you are smiling down on us, we know you are truly happy and at peace. Give everyone a hug for us until we meet again. Memories: Amazing corn roasts and bond fires. Shelling peas sitting in the garage laughing and laughing! When I was young I admired you and asked the good Lord to give me as much strength as my Aunt had. As I watched her go about her daily routine from milking the cows to feeding the pigs, to collecting the eggs from the chickens, and as time went on and she was by herself taking care of the yard cutting the grass in the heat but not stopping till it was all done and shoveling the snow. A very special Aunt never forgeting a birthday or anniversary she would always call to wish us well. Going to the hospital to see how she was doing when she had her heart attack and her asking us how we were! All way thing of other first before herself what a beautiful lady... So when we look at a Sunset or Sunrise we will think of her. When we feel a breeze on beautiful summer evening we will think of her. When we hear a robin sing we will think of her. When we take a trip to the Half-Moon we will think of her and miss not stopping in to catch up. We love you so and miss you lots. Enie, Terry and our family

• Such touching memories when I think of this dear daughter of the Most High God! I heard about her when I met members of her family and they spoke so highly of their wonderful mom - I just knew I had to meet her, even though she was 1800 miles away. With grateful thanks to our Father in Heaven for that opportunity, I remember the summer I was privileged to spend time with her in her home. I had just arrived at her home with her daughter and son-in-law and was sitting at her kitchen table when she came home and I met her for the first time. She gave me a big hug, along with her beautiful smile, popped over to the stove and started fixing perogies for me. She would plan a day to fill up her freezer with them, so she’d have a batch to pull out and feed anyone who should come by. I was blessed to first enjoy them, and later to spend a day with her, preparing for future guests at her table. What a blessing to be there when her family came together to celebrate her 75th birthday in 2003! It was such a privilege to be able to take family pictures out under her beloved elm tree, and later to make albums for those who wanted them. In days that followed, during the afternoons as she was busy inside, I would sit out in the back yard, enjoying the river and the ducks flying overhead, remembering glorious summers as a child at my grandparents’ farm, where I felt so safe and loved. Being there on her Henderson Highway was just like “going home again.” Vicky didn't meet a stranger and was so in love with the people our Creator put in her life! She taught me much in that short time. She so touched my heart as she shared her life with me. She prayed faithfully for her family. What a legacy she has left for all of her family members and everyone who was blessed to be a part of her life! What a life we are privileged to celebrate – a celebration not only by us here on earth, but also I know she’s celebrated in heaven, too! I am more blessed that I have shared a little bit of life on this earth with her and her family! Bless you all.
