DONNA LOUISE TATARYN March 30, 1948 - July 13, 2012 After a courageous battle with cancer, at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, Donna Tataryn of Inwood, MB, passed away peacefully at the age of 64 years, with family at her side. Donna will be sadly missed by her loving husband, of 42 years, Stewart, children Michael (Laura-Lee), Merle, and Theresa (Jason), along with four adoring grandsons Owen, Brett, Garrett and Sawyer. Donna is survived by her sisters Valerie (Don) Franz, Emily (Lawrence) McRae, and Marlene (Ivan) Hall and many nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Minnie Romanica, father and mother-in-law Mike and Catherine Tataryn, and niece Lisa Day. Donna held many titles in her lifetime, including Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Sister-in-Law, Auntie, Baba and Friend. Donna was born in Selkirk, MB, on March 30, 1948, and spent her childhood years there. After high school she enjoyed working for the Kelner family at Nell's Dairy Bar, who treated Donna as one of their own. Donna then moved on to work for MTS for a few years in Selkirk and then in The Pas after getting married to Stewart on April 4, 1970 where they first lived as a married couple. Donna and Stewart then moved to Inwood in 1971, and settled in Harpervile in 1972, where they raised their family and have remained since. Donna possessed many talents, among those her famous cooking skills. She was a prize winning baker and canning expert. Donna loved her garden, flowers, and picking berries. She spent many hours preparing fruit and vegetables to fill her family's pantries. Donna was the anchor of the W+ Ranch operations, keeping the family going during many years of busy calving and haying seasons, as well as the heart of year round ranch activities. She was very proud to see the W+ calves sell every fall, as this was our familys highlight of the year. Donna loved to be with family and friends and was always the hostess with the mostest. Everyone that met Donna immediately loved her sense of humour and easy going nature. Her pride and joy were her grandsons and she kept everyone well informed of their sports and rodeo activities. Donna and Stewart enjoyed travelling together to numerous bull sales in Alberta, casino trips, country music concerts, and ranch rodeo weekends. Donna was active in the community over the years, serving on several committees and action groups, with strong loyalty and devotion. Over the past couple of months, Donna was in great spirits and took every opportunity to be with her family and friends. Donna thoroughly enjoyed her many visitors who came to spend time and laugh with her during her hospital stay. A special thanks to Dr. Loudon, the nursing staff at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, and the Palliative Care staff for the great care and compassion provided to Donna. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 11:00 a.m., at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main Street, Stonewall, MB. In accordance with Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Donna's memory to Southwest District Palliative Care, Box 1282, Stonewall, MB R0C 2Z0. MACKENZIE FUNERAL CHAPEL Stonewall (204) 467 - 2525
