JOYCE WILDE With sadness, we announce the passing of Joyce Wilde who was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many on Saturday, August 4, 2012. Her loving husband Lloyd passed away on December 17, 2011, after 63 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Bruce (Sharon), Rick (Bev), Cliff (Carolyn), Nancy, Kathy (Bob), Glen (Sheila), Barb (Tony), Diane (Bill), and Judy (Kevin), her grandchildren Jeff (Trish), Jennifer (Rick), Jaime (Darcy), Matt, Mike (Robyn), Mark (Leanne), Lindsay, Ashley, James and Daniel, and great-granddaughter Kendra. She is also survived by her sisters Bev (Jay) and Marlene, brother-in-law Steve (Diane), sisters-in-law Myrtle (Ron) and Muriel (Arwyn), and many nieces and nephews. In addition to raising their nine children, Joyce worked for the RM of Springfield for many years and on many short-term election and census projects. Joyce was a strong and determined woman who will be remembered for her hard work, dedication to family, friendship, keen sense of humour, community spirit and interest in others. At the end of her life, Joyce was content to leave this earth and join Lloyd in heaven. Following a private family interment, a celebration of Joyce's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 10 at the Oak Bank United Church, 582 Balsam Crescent, Oak Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce's memory may be made to a charity of choice. But now I'm done working I'll lay my burden down, And rest in His own loving hands God's paradise I've found. So do not grieve for me my loved ones My working days are through. JOYCE WILDE Peacefully on Saturday, August 4, 2012, Joyce Wilde, beloved wife of the late Lloyd of Oak Bank, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 81 years. A celebration of Joyce's life will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oak Bank United Church, 582 Balsam Crescent in Oak Bank.   • We first met the Wilde family when Jim purchased Brown's Transfer which we later renamed Oakbank Transfer. Rick worked with Jim on occasion and Joyce was always inviting him to come for a home cooked meal before we were married. Her kindness will never be forgotten. Both Joyce & Lloyd were wonderful people who will be sadly missed. We are so sorry we were away on vacation when Joyce passed away & we missed her funeral. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

  • I had many sleepovers at the Wilde house with Judy - we were good friends in elementary school. Mrs. Wilde always made their house a such welcoming place and indeed what was one more kid in the mix?!? She used to bundle us up in the winter and send us off to the store with a quarter tucked in our mittens to buy ourselves treats - in those days a quarter would buy "treats". Deepest sympathies Judy and to the rest of the family.

  • Dearest Kathy and family, Frank and I are very sorry for your loss. I have many fond childhood memories of Joyce and the times shared at the Wilde home. When my mom said to Joyce "Norma is asking to stay overnight with Kathy, but I think you are busy enough with your family; Joyce said to my mom "what's one more"! I will never forget how special it felt to be included in the Wilde family. My heart and thoughts are with each of you at this time. May your memories bring you peace and a smile to your faces.   • Diane, I am so very sorry for your loss. Sorry I can't be there for the celebration of your mum's life on Friday.   • One does not think about "Lloyd and Joyce", without a smile or roarin' good belly laugh. We sadly say so long for now; but there is comfort in knowing that we will someday have more laughs together again.
