FRANCE RAYMONDE LAFRENIERE Following a courageous seven year battle with cancer, France Raymonde LaFrenière (née Girardin of Ponteix, Saskatchewan), daughter of Guy and Marcelle Girardin passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 5, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Dominic and her uncle Raymond. Left forever to cherish France's memory are her beloved children Chantal and Martin, their father Roger, her brothers and sisters Thérèse, Yvonne, André, Paul (Shelley), Michel (Joanne), Pierre (Carol), Luc, her aunt Noella, cousins Louise and Gisèle, many nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Lyndie Bourcier. France was an unparalleled pioneer in both her work life and her home life. She is fondly remembered by her children not only as a dedicated and loving mother but also a friend and confidante. Her constant encouragement and support of her children's education, cultural awareness and personal endeavours was remarkable. France was a woman of strong character, grace and elegance. France worked 35 years for the National Bank of Canada starting as a teller and working her way up to Branch Manager. She was always diplomatic, tactful and non-judgemental, characteristics greatly influenced by her paternal grandmother Yvonne Loutrelle and her uncle Dominic Loutrelle. France's family invites you to join them in a celebration of her life on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Fort Gibraltar, 866 Rue Saint Joseph. The family invites you to share stories reflecting France's life and character. France's family would like to thank Yvonne Girardin for her years of dedication and support as her sister's caregiver. Flowers are regretfully declined, however donations can made to a charity of one's choice. Son support absolu envers les poursuites académiques, culturelles et personnelles des ses enfants atteste à sa dévotion d'avoir été maman ainsi qu'amie et confidente. Elle a oeuvrée 35 ans à la Banque Nationale du Canada, promue rapidement de caissière à gérante de succursale. Elle était une femme diplomatique et d'une écoute compatissante, des caractéristiques grandement influencées par sa grand-mère paternelle Yvonne Loutrelle ainsi que son oncle Dominic Loutrelle. La famille souhaite remercier Yvonne Girardin pour les soins attentifs qu'elle a portés envers sa soeur au courant des dernières années.
