CORA JEAN CLARK (WORRALL) November 24, 1929 - July 18, 2012 Peacefully on July 18, 2012 Jean passed away at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis in 2001 and her son Charles Eldon in 2003, as well as her parents Fred and Jane Worrall, sisters Mary, Alice, Lily and Audrey, and brothers Fred and Jimmy. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her sister Dorothy (Harry); grandson Roger; granddaughter Elizabeth (Tim); great-grandchildren Charlie and Abigail-Jane; her nephew Dennis (Lenore), niece Marian (Garry) and their families, along with her sisters and brothers-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was born in Liverpool, England, immigrating to Canada at the age of 18 where she became a MTS operator. In 1949 she met Lewis, marrying that same year and welcoming their only child in 1951. Jean took pride in her home and family, welcoming many nieces and nephews to call her home theirs. In the mid 1970s she, along with her son and husband, opened a store called The China Cabinet, first located in the Exchange District, then moving to Osborne Village. Jean was straightforward, loving and always had an ear to listen to your problems or joy. She enjoyed dancing, listening to Lewis play the fiddle and knitting. If one word could describe Jean, it is feisty. We would like to extend our gratitude to the nurses and doctors at Riverview Health Centre where she spent the last year of her life. A special thanks to her nurses, Susan and Pia for the warmth and love they showed to both Jean and our family. A memorial service will be held September 8, 2012 at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 933 Summerside Ave. at 10:00 a.m. A tea will follow at the church. The interment will be September 9 at the Elm Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Jean's name to Riverview. Grandma, you are with God now, you can rest. Love, Charlie.
