  • I came to Canada in 1969 as a young engineer to be employed by Conuclear, a company which Alan was manager of. I was immediately struck by the kindness bestowed on me by Sonja and Alan right from the begining of my life in Canada. My mother was also treated to their hospitality on a visit to Canada, even though a complete stranger to them. I shall remember her with a great deal of fondness and my sympathies and condolences to Alan and Heather (known then as Henrietta) whom I hope are in good health themselves.
