Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARLENE JOY CLANCY (nee PARK) Of Qualicum Beach, BC Marlene passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. During her struggles over the last six years, she remained strong and upbeat and as always was an inspiration to all who knew her. Marlene was born on March 25, 1936 to the late Roy and Eva Park of Winnipeg. There she married Paul Clancy and they raised two children. The family moved to BC in 1971. She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1999. Surviving are her daughters Marina (Alfie) of Port Hardy, BC, and Denise of Port Hardy, BC. Also surviving are her seven dearly beloved grandchildren, two great-grand-children, and two brothers R. Wayne (Beverley) Park of Winnipeg and H. Randy Park of Qualicum Beach, B.C. At Marlene's request, there will be no formal service. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Parksville, BC at a private family service. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations to a charity of choice in Marlene's memory would be appreciated.
