FRED McEVOY July 26, 1959 - May 29, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fred McEvoy on May 29, 2017. Fred was born and raised in Belfast, Ireland and moved to Canada in 1974 to join his family. He was predeceased by his father Edgar, mother Kathleen, brothers, Billy and Pat, and sister-in-law Vega. Fred will be remembered by his brothers, Joe (Cathy) and Derek, sister Margaret (Pete) Lundy and sisters-in-law, Eilish and Charmaine. Left to mourn are his numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. They will miss their uncle Fredi dearly. Fred was a charismatic man with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He could always be found at his favourite neighbourhood pub, the King's Head, drinking a pint and telling great stories to his many dear friends. Fred will be remembered for his extraordinary, talented eye for photography and art. His presence will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A private family service has been held. Fred's final resting place will be in Ireland with his parents. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the King's Head Pub. We invite all who knew and loved Fred to join us in a final farewell. "Ar dheis-lámh Dé go raibh a anam Gaelach." (May his Irish soul be on God's right hand.)
