MARIE DZIEDZIC (nee HOROBEC) March 27, 1926 - August 5, 2017 It is with sadness we announce our amazing wife, mother and Baba has passed away at 91 years of age after a full and wonderful life. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 70 years, Kasmer, sons, Jim (Adele) and Paul (Bev), daughter Susan (Troy), grandchildren, Tammy (Stephen), Scott, Melissa (Brandon), Chris (Mel), Kate-Lynn (Miles) and Taylor, and great-grandchildren, Jordan (Lia), Tomiko, Talia, Noah, Isabella, Penelope, Lauren and Eric. Marie was born in Caliento, MB and was a longtime member of St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Marie loved to cook, clean and entertain - she was always busy! Family was Marie's greatest joy and she was happiest when we were all together. Special thanks to Tom and Carol for their ongoing support, and to the staff at the Charleswood Care Home for the love and compassion given to Mom and our family over the last year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba. Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com. Parastas Funeral Service will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church at 390 Marion Street on Thursday, August 10 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Our condolences on the passing of your mother Marie. She was a lovely lady. I have lots of fond memories of her. We were thankful that we able to attend her 70th Wedding Anniversary party and see her and Kasmer. We will be unable to attend her funeral as we will be out of town but send our sympathies to her family.
