GEORGE DOLENUCK

March 24, 1938 - September 14, 2025


It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of George Dolenuck on September 14, 2025, at the age of 87.

George will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his wife of 65 years Olga and his daughters Cindy Dolenuck (Orval Talbot) and Joann (Dave) Milian.

Gigi will be forever missed and loved by his Grandchildren Alexis and Brady Dolinski and Hailey and Hunter Milian.

George was born in Tyndall, MB and raised by his grandparent Mary and Max Kulbaba along with his sister Margery.

George is survived by his sister Margery Stefaniuk, Brother Maurice Dolenuk and Lenard (Betty) Dolenuck and many nieces and nephews. Special Aunt Nellie Kulbaba and special cousins Gloria Bibby and Sandra Sawchuk.

George was predeceased by his parents Peter and Anne Dolenuk and brothers John Dolenuck and Andy Dolenuk. Uncles Nick, Tom and Mike Kulbaba and Aunt Nellie Pleskacz.

The Family wishes to send a special thank you to the Staff at the Grace Hospital, 5 North and Dr. Ron George for his care and compassion.

We can find comfort in knowing that Dad’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love of family and the memories we will cherish forever.

A Celebration of George’s Life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral home 4477 main Street, West St. Paul with a reception to follow.

  • George was the oldest son of my oldest cousin Anne. Anne was the oldest granddaughter of Anna & Tymko Krawchuk who emigrated from Ukraine in the spring of 1900. I was the youngest granddaughter. Anne called us the bookends. She was my favourite cousin. George is now reunited with her. George was a loving husband and father. May all the good memories help Olga and her family in this sad time.   • George’s Mother, Anne Dolenuck was the oldest grandchild of Anna and Tymko Krawchuk who emigrated from Ukraine in 1900. I was the youngest, so Anne nicknamed us “The Bookends”. She was my favourite first cousin. Her son George was a loving husband and father. Rejoice that he was yours for so many years. May your good memories lessen your sorrow at this sad time.
