It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Valerie Boyd-Tims on September 4, 2025.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mandy Chapman (Stefane Berard) and grandchildren: Rowan, Teagan and Aven. Valerie was predeceased by her mother, Claudia Wright.
Born in British Columbia, raised in Flin Flon; she enjoyed swimming the lakes in her younger years. She was a free spirit, independent and clever woman with a furious love for her family and friends. She was an accomplished reader with a strong social conscience and proudly worked as a civil servant for 38 years. She always had an extra room for a person needing shelter or a stray cat.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private gathering of family and friends will be held.
Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Grace Hospice and Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care.
