JOANNA MARIE KORBAYLO
In Loving Memory
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Joanna Marie (Marie) Korbaylo at age 75, surrounded by love and peace. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, and friend, Marie brought joy and compassion to all who knew her.
Born in Winnipeg, she lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and quiet strength. Her laughter filled our home, and her love was the foundation of our family.
Marie proudly served as a Girl Guide leader for many years, inspiring young girls to be courageous and kind. Her dedication to the Guiding movement left a lasting legacy in the lives she touched.
She faced Alzheimer’s with grace for 14 years, remaining a gentle and loving presence throughout. Her spirit endured, even as memories faded.
We extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Kin Place Personal Care Home for their compassionate care and support.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Brian; her children, Kevin (Kathryn) and Jennifer (Jon); grandchildren, Claire, James, June, and Rose. She was predeceased by her brothers, Alan, Dennis, mother Mary, father Duncan, and most recently her sister Donalda (Bonnie) on September 18.
A casual come and go Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Seasons Funeral Chapel in Oakbank. Friends and family are welcome any time between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a time for remembrances at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

Our deepest condolences to Kevin, Jenn, Brian and the Korbaylo family. Marie left us with some fond memories of the times we gathered for special family events in Winnipeg.
