In Loving Memory of Shirley Abramson
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Abramson on October 31, 2025, at the age of 86 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband, Chuck Abramson, whose memory she held close to her heart. She is survived by her devoted sisters and brothers, Caroline Toye, Joe and Kari Toye, Barrie Toye and Jenny, Gerald and Leah Toye, Deborah Toye, and Saundra Toye and Mike.
Shirley’s gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and quiet strength touched all who knew her. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the enduring bonds of family. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she graced.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jenson, who came to Shirley’s home whenever called, offering compassionate care and support. Deep gratitude also goes to the dedicated home care workers who tended to Shirley in the remaining years of her life, and to Gisele and Alma, whose thoughtful coordination made it possible for Shirley to remain in the comfort of her home, surrounded by love.
The family will hold a private memorial in early December to honor Shirley’s life and legacy.

Shirley was a loving and caring person. When my late wife was diagnosed with cancer for some reason I was drawn to share the sad news with her like a big sister.
