The world has lost a lovely spark.
Joan passed away November 2, 2025, at Riverview Palliative Care after a short battle with cancer, just weeks after celebrating her 90th birthday and 70th wedding anniversary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend.
Strong and independent her entire life, Joan also loved to laugh and have fun. She was irreplaceable and remains loved by all who knew her. She will be missed forever.
Memories of Joan will be kept and cherished by her best friend and loving husband Ernie; son Ken (Inga) of St. Albert, Alberta; and daughter Pat (Ray) of Winnipeg. Also surviving her are her grandchildren of whom she was so proud – Jazlyn (Colten), Troy (Caitlin, great-grandchildren Addy and Luke), and Alexa (Adam) – all of St Albert, Alberta.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
