DAVID CARLISLE CASSON

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Carlisle Casson.

Dave passed away on November 15, 2025, at the Clover House Care Home in Swift Current.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Cheryl Casson; his son Raymond (Amy) Casson; his daughters Barb (Greg) James and Kathy Cunningham; and his grandchildren Triston, Samantha (Kyle), Colin, Connor, Cameron, Reegan, and Adelaide, as well as his great-grandson Cypress.

Dave shared a special bond with his siblings: Jim (deceased 2012) (Julie) Casson, Linda Parenty, Thomas (deceased 2022) (Diane) Casson, Garnet (deceased 2010) (Jeanette) Casson, and Leslie (Donna) Casson, along with all their children and grandchildren.

Born on March 19, 1949, in Vita, Manitoba, Dave was the son of James Carlisle Casson (deceased 1999) and Dorothy Marguerite Casson (Skoglund) (deceased 1981).

Dave was truly a jack of all trades—able to fix or build nearly anything he set his mind to. He loved spending time in his shop, tending to his yard, and growing some of the biggest gardens around. He never passed up an opportunity to go fishing, a pastime that brought him great joy.

He will be remembered for his hard work, his kindness, his resourcefulness, and the deep love he held for his family. Dave's warm smile and quick sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

We would like to thank The Clover House in Swift Current for the wonderful care they gave Dave. A celebration of life will take place on December 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Club Jovial in Ste. Anne, MB.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • We were school mates for a few years as well as friends from a neighboring community. David was always happy and outgoing. Proud to have been a friend. Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Glen Shelby (Friend) on: Nov 29, 2025

  • I worked with Cheryl and remember so clearly, an invitation for all her work colleagues to her home for some camaraderie. Dave was so welcoming and spent time with all those attending and he was meeting many of them for the first time. It was a relaxing and pleasant time and Dave made sure we all got to enjoy ourselves. He and Cheryl were perfect hosts. I want to send my Condolences out to Cheryl and her family at this difficult time. Please know I am thinking of you. - Posted by: Susan Hart-Kulbaba (family friend) on: Nov 29, 2025
